Privacy Policy
Arc-Fil Product Ltd. (“Arc-Fil”) is a North American manufacturer of wire and strip formed parts based in Quebec. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this site, why, who we share it with, and the rights you can exercise. It is written in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.

2. Information we collect
a) What you give us
When you fill in our quote request form or our contact form, we collect your name, email address, company name, phone number, the subject and content of your message, the product and quantity you are interested in, and any files you choose to attach (plans, drawings, photos). When you apply for one of our jobs, we collect the information and documents you send us, such as your résumé. Never send us passwords, credit card numbers or sensitive information through these forms.
b) What is collected automatically
Our site sets a small number of cookies, and our hosting provider keeps technical logs that include your IP address for security and troubleshooting. The cookies are listed in section 5.
What we do not do. We use no advertising analytics, no social media pixels and no commercial profiling tools. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
3. Why we use this information
- To answer your quote request or enquiry and follow up on it;
- To prepare, manufacture and deliver the products ordered;
- To assess applications received for our job openings;
- To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and diagnose technical problems;
- To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
We do not use your information for any other purpose without first obtaining your consent.
4. Consent and withdrawing it
Cookies strictly necessary to run the site are set without consent, as the law permits. The visit counter is only switched on with your explicit consent, given through the window shown on your first visit.
You may withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, using the “Cookies” button at the bottom left of every page. Withdrawal takes effect immediately and the cookies concerned are deleted from your device. Refusing has no effect on your browsing or on our services.

6. Sharing with third parties and outside Quebec
We share your personal information only with the following providers, acting on our behalf and only as far as necessary:
- Our web host, which stores the site and the requests and files received through the forms;
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365): form notifications are delivered to our mailboxes, hosted by Microsoft on servers that may be located outside Quebec;
- Pipedrive: quote requests are sent to our customer relationship management software, whose servers are located outside Quebec, so we can follow up on them;
- Google LLC: the site’s typefaces and our YouTube video previews are loaded from Google’s servers, and the Contact page uses Google’s reCAPTCHA spam protection, which discloses your IP address to Google in the United States;
- Where the law requires it, such as responding to a court order or a competent authority.
Before communicating personal information outside Quebec, we assess the privacy factors involved and make sure the information will receive adequate protection. Apart from the above, no personal information is communicated outside Quebec.
7. Retention and destruction
Requests received through our forms are kept for as long as needed to handle them, then for a maximum of 24 months, after which they are destroyed. Unsuccessful job applications are kept for at most 24 months. Information tied to an order or to invoicing is kept for as long as our legal, accounting and tax obligations require.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, administrative access is restricted and protected, and intrusion protection measures are in place. As no measure is perfect, we undertake to handle any confidentiality incident in accordance with the law, to keep an incident register, and to notify affected individuals and the Commission d’accès à l’information where an incident presents a risk of serious injury.
9. Your rights
Subject to the conditions set out in the law, you may:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected;
- Withdraw your consent to a non-necessary use;
- Ask that information stop being disseminated or be de-indexed;
- Receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format (portability).
10. How to exercise your rights

11. Complaints
If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, the authority responsible for enforcing the law: cai.gouv.qc.ca.
12. Changes
Any change to this policy will be published on this page with a revised update date. Where a significant change affects your information, we will seek your consent again if the law requires it.
